Cichlid fish problem?

i have a Auratus witch is very aggressive. i want to introduce him into a tank but he keeps beating the other fish up. he has been in a ten gallon alone for a year so hes used to having a tank all to himself. i was wondering if there is a way to make him get along with the others without claiming all the tang to himself and beating up my fish???
