For boxing fans only. Should we learn to think like promoters in order to tolerate our favorite sport?

I mean seriously! This is requiring way too much thinking!! Try to explain to a non boxing fan about belts, weight classes, catchweights, abc titles, different promoters, blah blah blah. Is it a wonder how ufc has become so popular? They don't have that problem. The fans get what they want. Granted the fighters get paid way less, but anyhow at least here is structure... Not with boxing.. We have no structure in our sport! Of coarse we need an actual organization to nationalize boxing. Where there are rules for EVERYONE to abide by. But that's not my point. Does having to know all these different aspects, and being forced to accept that we don't get what we want, kind of numb your enthusiasm? We have good fights, don't get me wrong I watch all of them. But we don't get what we want. Example(other than the obvious), Martinez vs Chavez. Why can't thee guys fight? That is sergios belt he had to give up to take a bigger fight. Why? Because Hbo wouldn't pay for a Martinez vs sebastian zbik fight. So he gave up th belt and fought Williams. Chavez just fought zbik on Hbo for, what, the title that was stripped from Martinez. Ok, fast forward, these two guys have been verbally jabbing at each other thru the media for awhile. Chavez is now THE OTHER middleweight champ. This is the most logical fight in the world. But it ain't gonna happen. Chavezs promoter is pursuing a fight with boxers in his stable instead. And we as fans have to accept "the costs of business" or whatever cliche you want to insert there. Is this fair to us fans? What can we do about this? We pay the money to watch our favorites act as puppets rather than being true champions!! What can we do???
