Why Do Supremes Fans Hate Each Other?

I'm a Florence fan, and lord knows I'm responsible for starting and argument or two but those days are behind me. What i wanna know is, why do Diana Ross fans think that she WAS The Supremes, like Mary and Florence were unimportant? I love me some Flo, Mary and Diana, but why do people feel the need to say "Mary is a washed up old hag with no voice and no career. Florence was an alcoholic mess with a loud voice. Diana however, had everything." That really eats me up side.
